We all know by now just how important Omega-3 fatty acids are to our well-being, probably helping to prevent heart disease, protect brain and eye health, and contributing to fetal development.

The University of Malta team has completed a detailed GC-MS investigation of the fatty acid profile for tuna fish oil using various extraction methods.

The content of 38 fatty acids was assessed for each of the different extracted fish oils.

We are currently reviewing the data; however, results seem to show high levels of omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids and the profiles are undoubtedly of high value.
