A huge well done to our young Bythos researcher Manuela Mauro for this Young Investigator Award from the Italian Experimental Biology Society for her presentation on the use of chitosan from shrimp residues in biofilm and new packaging ideas to extend the shelf life of food. This is a very prestigious award for a young researcher from a national scientific society and we are extremely proud of Manuela.
